18 Apr – Robert Everson
Robert brings to the music scene a beautiful voice that sounds rich, clean and has a classical touch. Music and singing are his life and passion that he expresses with a voice made for ballads and music that carries complex melodies and meaningful lyrics. His key stylistic influencers are singers such as Sam Smith, Hozier and Shawn Mendes.
Robert was born in 1999 and lives in Cape Town. He was first inspired to sing publicly after a school cabaret performance had the audience on their feet – much to his surprise, as he had been too shy to perform until then. Instead, he had played violin for 11 years which trained his ear and allowed him to understand the classical musical and orchestral worlds. He is now putting this knowledge to good use as he furthers his studies and work in the singing world by performing at Stardust – the theatrical dining restaurant in Woodstock – and studying vocals at the Campus of Performing Arts.
